Why does our government not govern itself?

Quite simply, government of the United States is broken and power is the culprit. Trillions in debt, furious division, crumbling society and institutions, ever greater concentrations of wealth and privilege, and damn little progress in the Land of Opportunity for Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.  Power and the politics that pursue it are an affliction that eventually poisons everything.  As things are, this government cannot fix itself.  That leaves the responsibility to us.  The proposed amendment is to address fundamental errors over the past that have led us to this day.  The Constitution is not flawed; it is neglected.  Its faithful application has brought progress and prosperity before, and will again.  We ask for your genuine and considered attention to this question:
